About Me

Me

I have been representing juveniles in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, Amador, San Joaquin, and Alameda counties since 1994. I only practive in two areas: Juvenile Law and Estate Planning/Living Trust Preparation. Never a prosecutor, I am focused on assisting my clients and nothing else. I have been doing so for over nearly twenty years. I have been recognized and asked to appear at yearly conferences such as 'Trading Secrets: An Insiders Perspective of How Sacramento Juvenile Justice Agencies Work' in Sacramento County. I served as a panel member in the 2007 'Developing Effective Practices in Juvenile Delinquency Caseflow Management.' This seminar was attended by juvenile court judges and attorneys from across California, and was hosted by the Administrative Office of the Courts. And to keep up with changes in the law, I attend specialized juvenile law and estate planning seminars several times a year.

While in law school I was employed by the Sacramento County Public Defender, Juvenile Division. Shortly after graduating from McGeorge School of Law and passing the bar exam in 1996, I launched my private practice. Since then, I have represented hundreds of clients, ranging from relatively minor misdemeanor charges to serious felony allegations. I am currently a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, the California State Bar, the Sacramento County Indigent Defense Juvenile Panel, the Sacramento Superior Court Probate panel and the California Democratic Party. The court also appoints me to act as Guardian ad Litem in Dependency cases. Before choosing law as a career, I worked as a teacher at elementary, middle school, high school and college levels.

My office can advise you on all aspects of your child's legal matter. Whether a child requires a guardianship or is charged with a crime I will insist that he or she is treated fairly. I will use all legal tools at my disposal to remove any blemishes on his or her record through record seals, charge reductions, and outright dismissals. The State Bar of California discourages attorneys from listing individual case results, but for nearly 20 years I have obtained excellent resolutions in a wide variety of cases, including juvenile crimes, adoptions, guardianships, and living trusts. My office is conveniently located near Highway 50 in Sacramento and just minutes from El Dorado and Placer counties. Please do not hesitate to call (916) 363-1211 or email me for a free consultation.
